Alt Name: Noah+ Angel Gabriel
Born 2944 B.C. Lived 950 years. The Great Flood occurred 23
44-2343.
Followed by the Ice-Age. (See comments below by Albert F. S
chmuhl)
The correct understanding of the Flood in the first 20
00 years is basic to the understanding of our own history
. The flood is chronicled to have started "In the six hundr
eth year of Noah's life ...the same day were all the founta
ins of the great deep broke up, and the windows of heaven w
ere opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days an
d forty nights" (Gen.7:11-12) Some have assumed that the ra
in lasted only 40 days, but the next verse says "in that se
lfsame day entered Noah...into the Ark."The record continu
es: "And the water prevailed upon the earth an hundred an
d fifty days,...The fountains also of the deep and the wind
ows of heaven were stopped and the rain from heaven was res
trained." (Gen.7:24;8:2) This meansthat it rained for fiv
e months!
We can safely assume "The fountains of the deep" to me
an the water in the earth and in the oceans which were rele
ased by subterranean forces creating the tidal waves spoke
n of by Immanuel Velikovsky (Earth In Upheavel) which trave
rsed continents and caused globel catastrophies. Regardin
g the "windows of heaven" being opened, there are many theo
ries. Was water brought...from some other place above the e
arth?" asked Joseph Fielding Smith, "We do not know", he co
ncluded. One plausible theory is that water was produced fr
om hydrogen nebulae from outer space combining with the oxy
gen of our atmosphere.
Joseph Fielding Smith explains the Ice Age theory as f
ollows: The animals spoken of by Sir Henry H. Howorth wer
e frozen at the time of the flood when the climatic conditi
ons of the earth were changed." (Man, His Origin and Destin
y, p 422-423) Ice is the by-product of water evaporation ca
used by heavy cloud cover plus earthquake-spawned dust. No
ah's descendants lived all in one place until after the des
truction of the Tower of Babel, some 150 years later, there
by allowing the formed ice to melt.
Whenthe flood subsided, Noah divided the world and ga
ve Ham, Africa and
Southern Arabia; Japeth, Europe to Cadiz and Asia, except f
or the Euphrates in the Indian Ocean; and Shem the Euphrate
s to the Indi

This is the traditional descent of the British Monarch's
from Biblical sources
as recordedin the Anglo Saxon chronicles, which show
Bedwig as being Sam's
son. The Icelandic Prose Edda shows a much more
credible history which shows
descent fromthe Kings of Troy. I therefore go with
the Prose Edda, but
both are oral histories.
